Saturday 11th February We have our first stand at Castle Donington Farmers Market at St Edwards School from 9 until 12.30. No red meat but plenty of breads etc and chickens.
Saturday 18th Feb Chicken butchery course. Learn how to joint, spatchcock, marinade and cook a chicken. This follws on from the sucessful knife kills course. There are a few places left. The cost is £45 which includes your organic chicken to take home. if interested please contact us.
Saturday 31st March THe first of our lambing days. You are welcome to come and look at the lambs and you may get a chance to see some being born. The farm is open from 10 until 4 witrh spinning demonstrations, teas and coffees, lunch and other refreshments. There is no entry charge. come and see Lambing Live for real.
Saturday 7th April The second lambing day.
We are in the process of establishing a community supported agriculture (Long Whatton CSA) project on the farm and need more people to join in, again phone or use contacts page for more details.We will be arranging a get together soon.
