We are delighted to announce that our Sicilian sausages were commended in the 2009 organic food awards. Made using organic pork from our farming neighbour using an authentic recipe, they are very tasty and especially good oven baked. Do email or phone through your order to avoid disappointment.

All our food is organic

Farm shop crew We have an organic bakery on site with our full time baker, Karl, who makes wonderful breads, seasonal cakes and delicious scones. Or why not treat yourself to a mouthwatering organic chocolate brownie? Our shop stocks a full range of dairy produce including milk and cream from another local organic farm, Lubcloud farm. We also have a large range of organic seasonal vegetables, fruit and other produce.

The majority of the beef and lamb is produced on the farm. The pork comes from our immediate neighbour, Richard Mee who also farms organically to Soil Association Standards. The beef is produced from a cross between a Hereford cross Friesian cow and a Longhorn Bull. The Longhorn is a native local breed which is extremely docile and produces beef of exceptional quality.

The use of local produce means that not only can we can control the quality but we can also minimise the food miles attached to the produce. Our approach allows us to concentrate on seasonal foods as well.

Sheep in the clover field The sheep are all pedigree Lleyns. Our organic grass and clover pastures mean they produce delicious succulent lamb. New season lamb usually arrives mid-June a little later than non-organic lamb, making it all the more special. We also have a fantastic range of homemade sausages and burgers from animals we know have had a happy, healthy life. All the joints of meat are prepared by our butcher, Martin, who you will also see in the shop.

Combine easy parking with personal attention from friendly, knowledgeable staff (Viv, Sam, Martin and Lesley), and you will discover a relaxed shopping experience removed from the hustle and bustle of modern superstores. And while you're here, why not combine your shop visit with a walk around the farm?
